Patients and visitors

In order to maintain the health and safety of our patients, staff, visitors and community at large, MGH has implemented the following entry restrictions and enhanced screening precaution. We have also changed our visitor policy. Until further notice, the hospital is not allowing visitors except those deemed essential as directed by the Ontario Medical Officer of Health. Before you visit the hospital as a patient or visitor, please see here: 

Cancelled services

Many non-urgent services have been cancelled or postponed. For a full list, please visit:  check back regularly as teams develop different ways to see patients, such as virtual visit. 

COVID-19 Assessment Centre 

The Assessment Centre is not open for walk-in visits at this time. Please call ahead to book an appointment: 416-469-6858. Not everyone that comes to the Assessment Centre or Emergency Department will be tested. Testing will be offered only after clinical assessment indicates it is necessary. Patients who need to come to the Assessment Centre will be given a booked appointment. This enables the hospital to provide the right care for patients, support the important principle of social distancing and prevent unnecessary visits to the Assessment Centre or Emergency Department.
