The Division of Dentistry at Michael 九游体育 (MGH) provides comprehensive paediatric dental treatment and surgery under general anaesthesia, as well as consultations, for infants and young children for our Paediatrics Department.
Dental treatment under general anaesthesia is required for children who are unable to receive comprehensive care safely in a dental office setting because of their medical diagnosis, young age or the complex and extensive restorations required.

Oral health is integral to general health. Comprehensive healthcare cannot be achieved if a child's oral health is ignored.
Maintaining good oral health helps prevent issues such as early childhood caries (ECC), a severe form of tooth decay that is the most common chronic infectious disease of childhood. ECC is associated with significant pain and infection, loss of appetite, missed days at school, a diminished ability to learn and therefore a diminished quality of life.
