Coxwell Entrance Closure

As of March 21, 2025, MGH鈥檚 main entrance on Coxwell Avenue is closed as the next phase of our redevelopment project begins. Patients and visitors can use the new temporary main entrance on Sammon Avenue between Coxwell Avenue and Knight Street. View our campus map.

Masking is optional for all patients, families and care partners. Masks are available at all hospital entrances, in the Agne & Adrian Rocca Patient Registration Department and on clinical units for those who wish to use them.

Parking

MGH鈥檚 main public parking is the Dewji Family and Mr. Lube Parking Garage (entrance on Sammon Avenue east of Coxwell Ave.). Metered parking is available around the hospital.

Preparing to leave the hospital

When your medical team determines that you are ready to go home, they will:

  • Review your medications with you and tell you what side effects to watch for
  • Discuss any challenges that may occur at home
  • Let you know about any follow-up appointments
