Greening Awards
Greening Health Care (Toronto and Region Conservation Authority) awarded Michael 九游体育: the Energy Efficiency Leadership Award as one of five hospitals recognized at the silver level for total energy efficiency, and the 5 Percent Club Award for saving 5.6% in energy since 2014 (including electricity, gas and GHG Emissions).
Green Hospital Scorecard gave Michael 九游体育 a gold seal of recognition with high scores in the "Overall" and "Highest Energy Scorers" categories, compared to participating hospitals across Ontario.

Association of Ontario Midwives Hospital Integration Award, May 2016
Awarded to an Ontario hospital that demonstrates excellence in successfully integrating midwives into its organization. Michael 九游体育 was recognized for its Department of Midwifery, which includes a voting seat on the Medical Advisory Committee, and for the midwives who have privileges at the hospital being actively involved in decision-making and policy development and working to their full scope of practice.

IDEAS (Improving & Driving Excellence Across Sectors) is a province-wide educational initiative to build capacity in quality improvement and change management across healthcare sectors. MGH's project, Improving Transitions to External Rehab (Bridgepoint & Providence) for the Fractured Hip Patient at Michael 九游体育, was one of only five projects recognized for contributing to healthcare quality improvement in Ontario.
eLearning Design Award from eLearning Alliance of Canadian Hospitals, August 2015.
MGH was recognized for infomercial-style video which helps staff to understand changes to the hospital's electronic patient profile. This video used an innovative approach to elearning course design by mimicking an infomercial, which helps viewers to understand the content in a less structured and more entertaining format.
Recognition for Electronic Medical Record Adoption Success - HIMSS Level 6! April 2015.
Michael 九游体育 (MGH) has been recognized for achieving Stage 6 on the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model; only the fifth Canadian hospital to achieve this level. 20 Faces of Change Award, March 2015.
A new award from the Change Foundation, this recognition honours organizations who have "made an outstanding contribution to patient and family-centred care in the province's health care system," says Cathy Fooks, CEO of The Change Foundation. MGH was recognized for its Patient Video program, an innovative approach to capturing and disseminating the patient voice. MGH has filmed over 100 patient videos which are shared across the organization to help identify opportunities for patient-centred quality improvements and to empower patients to impact on the care they receive.
