There is a charge whenever a patient is brought to the hospital in an ambulance. The charge is for the patient that is brought in by ambulance, regardless of who called for the ambulance. The cost is $240.
If you have a valid health card, $195 is covered and you are responsible for $45. There are some exceptions, such as patients who receive disability pension. All patients without a valid health card will be charged $240.
